Bose and Hush have joined hands to produce noise-masking buds.
Giving up your deep, sound sleep is not something most of us are fine with. And you shouldn’t even. A good eight hours sleep is essential for good health. However, that essential eight hours may not be so easy to achieve when you share your room with someone who snores, even if that somebody is your cuddly dog. (Oh yes, dogs can snore and how!) Turns out, there is a very easy solution for that, and Bose has it.
Bose and Hush have joined hands to produce noise-masking buds with a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, in which they have already raised nearly half-a-million dollars from a few thousand backers.
The price of the sleepbuds is $249 (Rs 16,000 approximately). The developers ran a super-early bird offer, under which the buds were available for almost half the price, $150 (Rs 9,700), but the product shows sold out at the moment. As per the fundraising website, the Bose noise-masking sleepbuds are estimated to hit the market by February 2018.
For the ones who don’t know, these Sleepbuds were originally designed by Hush, who even showcased them at the CES 2016. The company, however, suddenly went silent after that. Now the company and the product have resurrected, after Hush was acquired by Bose.
While design-wise these sleepbuds have been significantly redesigned from what Hush unveiled, but the underlying tech apparently remained unchanged. The Bose sleepbuds block sleep disturbing sounds like snoring, barking dogs, amorous neighbors, and road traffic through isolating eartips and soothing sounds tuned to mask the noise. The Sleepbuds come with a case good for one full recharge and additional tips to find the right fit. The sleepbuds also sync up with an alarm that you can set in the Bose Sleep app.
