Cab cancellations are fairly common these days with the demands surging like never before. If the waiting time is too much, you cancel, in other cases, the driver cancels the ride. But in this process, one thing common is the cancellation fee that is charged. When Gurgaon-based Abhishek Asthana was charged a cancellation fee because an Ola driver canceled the ride, little did he know that the company would resort to a creative way of making up to him.
Asthana, who goes by a popular Twitter handle @GabbarSingh, aired his Ola woes through a tweet when the ride he booked for himself, and his brother to the airport was canceled from the driver’s end. He posted about the incident with a hilarious analogy of asking for a samosa, not getting it, but still being charged for it.
Asthana, known for his humorous tweets on the social media, saw his complaint tweet getting escalating pretty soon. To this, Ola was prompt to apologize and reverse the charges. But what came as a surprise was Ola sending Asthana two samosas, along with an apology card to his house to make amends.
