The new Google Pixel XL 2 render looks a lot more appealing and interesting.
Google‘s second-generation Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 have been a part of the rumor mill for a long time now. While there is no word on an official launch date, it is expected that Google will host an event sometime in October. Now, an alleged render of the Google Pixel XL 2 has surfaced online hinting at a squeezable body, and a 6-inch AMOLED display with slim bezels.
In line with previous rumors, AndroidPolice suggests that LG is manufacturing the Google Pixel XL 2. The device will be divided into two portions – half aluminium and half glass. The fingerprint sensor, which was originally placed in the glass portion is now expected to be shifted to the aluminum portion of the device. Apart from that, the render also shows a single-lens camera placed at the top right-hand side of the smartphone. This is again in line with the renders we have come across before, which suggest that Google will be ditching the dual-camera setup at the back.
Additional, the Pixel XL 2 is rumored to feature a “squeezable” frame just like the one recently launched with the HTC U11. The technology lets users squeeze their handsets to activate Google Assistant or other functions like a camera. From what we have heard so far, the second-generation Pixel smartphones may come with improved water resistance, better camera, and a faster processor.
Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 Specifications
The Pixel 2 is expected to come with a 4.97-inch display with full HD resolution. It is likely to have 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage onboard. The Pixel XL 2, on the other hand, is likely to feature an LG G6-like 6-inch display with 2:1 aspect ratio. It is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. If latest reports are anything to go by, the Google Pixel 2 smartphones are rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 836 SoC. But, Google Pixel 2 series is most likely to come with Snapdragon 835 chipset.
