Adding another interesting product to its portfolio, Xiaomi has launched a smart leisure massage chair. Priced at RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 39,200), Xiaomi’s Momoda Smart Massage Armchair is the 124th product under its MiJia brand. It is currently available under a crowdfunding program, and will start shipping from December 9.
Xiaomi’s Momoda Smart Massage Armchair sports the basic design of a massaging arm chair, and is made of durable leather. You can choose different modes of massages like kneading and acupressure. You can also adjust the intensity of the massages independently. The Momoda Smart Massage Armchair is capable of elevating to a zero gravity position by turning to an angle of 126 degrees. In this state, Xiaomi says that the person experiences the feeling of no gravity.
In terms of power consumption, the Momoda Smart Massage Armchair consumes 100 watts during usage. When in standby mode, it is claimed that only 0.5 watts of power is consumed. Xiaomi further states that the noise level doesn’t exceed 55 db. Like other Xiaomi products, the Momoda Smart Massage Armchair can also be synced to a smartphone app for additional controls.
Through the MiJia smartphone app, users can customize the massage combinations from a range of modes for exercise, soothing, and sleep improvement. In addition to this, users can also adjust the posture angle, different massage technique, massage parts, among others.
In the meantime, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its ‘best selfie smartphone’ in India. While details are scarce, it is widely expected to be the Mi Note 3, which was launched in China last month. The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel front camera equipped with artificial intelligence. The AI in the front camera uses real-time processing to help smoothen your skin, and enhance facial features to give the best ‘selfie’.
