Micromax-backed YU revived its Yureka series this year with the launch of Yureka Black. Joining the series will be the newly launched Yureka 2, priced at Rs 11,999. Yureka 2 will be available exclusively via Flipkart during its Big Billion Day sale on September 20. Flipkart’s Big Billion Day starts at September 20, and will continue till September 24.
In terms of design, the Yureka 2 sports a metal body in gold color with a 2.5D glass up front. Unlike the Yureka Black, the Yureka 2 comes without a physical home button. Instead, the smartphone houses three capacitive touch buttons up front, with a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. The rear camera lens is placed at the top-left corner, and two antenna lines pass through the top and bottom.

YU Yureka 2 specifications, features

YU Yureka 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 2.5D glass layered on top. At the heart of the smartphone, runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-processor. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. In the photography department, the Yureka 2 sports a 16-megapixel camera. Up front, it houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras come with features like night mode, multi shots, beauty mode, and auto-focus.
Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,930mAh battery along with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. On the software front, the Yureka 2 runs on the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Android OS is surprising considering that even budget smartphones launch with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
