The Gionee M7 will feature a “FullView Display”.
Gionee will be launching its “FullView Display” smartphone on September 26, called the M7 Power. The smartphone has been showing up on leaks with the monikers M7 Power and simply M7. It isn’t confirmed if Gionee will be launching two smartphones or just one. An alleged render of the Gionee M7 has now been leaked on Weibo. The image shows the rear panel of the Gionee M7.
As seen in the leaked image, the Gionee M7 is seen with dual rear cameras placed on the top-left corner. The smartphone has been rumored to sport a dual-camera setup where one would be a 5-megapixel sensor. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the center, which makes sense since the Gionee M7 won’t house a home button. Two antenna bands are located on the top and bottom ends, much like the iPhone 7 series. On the right side, the volume rocker and power button are visible. Overall, the Gionee M7 is wrapped in what looks like a full-metal body.
With only the rear panel revealed, it’s hard to say whether this could be the Gionee M7. Up front, the smartphone has almost no bezels on the side, with very thin bezels on top and bottom. The smartphone looks similar to its predecessor, the M6, but with thinner bezels and rounded edges.
According to past rumors, the Gionee M7 could feature a 6-inch display with 720×1440 pixels resolution. The display on the Gionee M7 is rumored to offer aspect ratio of 18:9. Gionee would join the likes of Samsung, LG and Micromax, which have recently launched smartphones with edge-to-edge displays.
