After recently announcing the 4G VoLTE services in Mumbai, Airtel has introduced a new offer for postpaid subscribers. Under this, Airtel is giving 60GB of free data. However, to avail the free data, it’s mandatory for postpaid users to download and install the Airtel TV application on their smartphone.
In order to push its Live TV services, Airtel brings the new offer as an upgrade to the earlier Airtel Monsoon offer. The new offer essentially doubles down the previous 30GB of data offers as part of the promotional scheme. While the previous offer had a validity of three months, the new offer comes with six months validity. Basically, Airtel Postpaid users will get 10GB of free data on their existing account for six months. As mentioned, you will have to download Airtel TV application and here’s how to do that.
Installing Airtel TV is easy and you can easily find the app listed on Google Play Store and Apple App store. So, head on to the respective store depending on if you are using an Android or iOS device. Once you finish the installation with verified Airtel postpaid account, the additional data will be added to your existing Airtel plan within 24 hours of service activation, says the company. The remaining data will be added automatically over the next five months. The Airtel Monsoon offer introduced three months ago required Airtel postpaid users to do the same in order to avail data benefit.
In order to take on the competition with its rival Reliance Jio, the company had earlier announced a Postpaid Promise scheme. Thus, Airtel now allows its postpaid subscribers to carry forward unused data from one month to the next. If you are an Airtel postpaid customer, you can collect up to 200GB data in your account.
